Ellandakunta Ramalayam History:
Ellandakunta is known as the " Apara Bhadrachalam"
Ellandakunta sacred place that attracts lakhs of devotees from all over telangana, it is the abode of Lord Rama (The seventh incarnation of SriMahavishnu)
According to a Ithihasas, the significance of this shrine dates back to the Ramayana Era. This coherent place existed in "Dandakaranya" Of Ramayana period.
Rama with his consort Sita and brother Laxmana going to exile for 14 years to honor his father Dasarath's word's.
At that time rama heard the news that his father had died.Then rama kept fetus for his father with illanda tree fruits, so that this place is known as illandakunta. Now it is known as Ellandakunta/Ellanthakunta. Illanda trees in the temple premises are the witness till now.
After the completion of the fetus Exclusion. lord rama along with sita and lakshmana has incarnated on a big stone near illandakunta trees
